Entries for the 2017 NZ Body Art Showcase close on Friday 28th July 2017, one month before the event.

Yes. However, as the lighting cues are scripted prior to the event and rehearsals and LED lights require lights to be dimmed, we will need to be made aware that you are using lighting in your piece.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
CAN I USE TECHNICAL SPECIAL EFFECTS IN MY PIECE?
No. The use of dry ice, fire and other effects is strictly forbidden.

WHAT DOES MY ENTRY NEED TO INCLUDE?
At the time registering artists must include a written concept, a sketch of your work and payment*. Registrations will not be accepted without these three items. The written concept, sketch and your experience will determine if the artist’s work will be accepted in the category(s) requested.
*Registration fee is non-refundable.
WHAT DOES MY CONCEPT NEED TO INCLUDE?
A one paragraph description of what your design is; this will be used for the script. A sketch of your design, what you will present on the evening. Your sketch should include, colours, and design of any accessories, what your intended outcome will look like, and size.
IF MY DESIGN DOESN’T MEET CATEGORY CRITERIA WILL IT BE RECOMMENDED FOR ANOTHER?
If we feel your design doesn’t meet the category, it won’t be your last and only chance of changing your submission. When entries close, we go through all the images and descriptions, line them up in selected categories and begin script writing. If they match the category they are included, if we think they would suit another category or do not match the chosen category, we will contact you and discuss it with you in hopes to get you into the correct category.
